Our homeschooling Adventure

Thanksgiving with Zeke

Filed under: Animal World — Robin on November 28, 2008 @ 8:53 am

We had a great Thanksgiving. In fact, it was one of my favorites ever!

All the food was wonderful. The guests were the best! Thank you guys for coming!

And I loved how nobody rushed off after eating. We all sat around talking for a long time. It was really nice.

Aquagirl’s boyfriend, Red, came to join us this year. And we loved having him. I can see that he really makes Aquagirl happy. And she is comfortable enough with him to be herself. That is a very telling sign.

But for GB the real star of the day was Zeke. Red came from his family’s house in Northern Virginia and he’s staying until Saturday. Zeke is his little ferret.

Isn’t he a-dor-a-ble?!

This is his favorite toy; a rolled up ace bandage. I’ll bet the discovery of that fondness was a funny story.

GB could hardly keep his hands off of poor Zeke.

This is Zeke’s ping pong ball. Red has quite an assortment of toys for the little guy. And his little kennel has the most adorable little ferret hammock strung up across the bars.

Even my dh seemed enraptured. He was a very friendly little ferret. He was quite taken with my shoes and pants legs……..LOL!

This was his “I’m bored” pose. It was time for him to go back into his kennel and escape from that crazy homeschooler. Geez! You’d think he’d never seen a ferret!

Btw, I had to tell GB that Santa doesn’t bring live animals on his sleigh.

Back me up on this one, would ya!

‘Preciate it!
