Have you ever heard that Beatle’s song, “I’ll Follow the Sun”?

I thought of that while I was taking these pictures. These are some wildflowers that are growing because of the birdseed that drops everywhere…. messy birds!….LOL! They don’t look exactly like sunflowers, but they act exactly the same. Wherever the sun is in the sky, these guys faces are pointed right at it.

This was at 9:00 a.m.

1:00 p.m.

7:00 p.m

And at 8:30, with barely any sun left, this little guy was still straining. Isn’t that cool?

I had a sunflower that was growing on my deck. And it was just about ready to bloom, when a greedy little squirrel made off with it’s head. I was so sad because I really had been looking forward to the bloom. I guess I’ll have to wait and see what this flower will look like when it blooms. It sure is fun to watch it move to the sun. It was a great lesson for GB, too.

Now I’ll be humming the song all day…
