Trebuchet launch
GB has been waiting a month for a genuine trebuchet demonstration to be held at our Science Museum. It happened to coincide with the Scooper Bowl, which was an ice cream and water-fun extravaganza that was attended by half of the Richmond area population (jk, it just seemed that way ;-)). Even with our membership passes, we still waited for 45 minutes to get inside the museum. While we waited GB and his Daddy got to try out the Segways on display. Neither one will win awards for cautious driving. But they both managed to get the basic functions down pat.
The Richmond SPCA was there trying to get pets adopted. So GB had to go say “Hi,” and leave a little donation in the cup.
The DJ outside was releasing bubbles into the air, while he played some good kiddie songs, and the kids were having a blast running around popping them.
Sword fighting with pool noodles!
Any day that GB gets to pet a snake is a good day for him.
And the highlight of the day……….. the trebuchet. This is a very quick video because the demonstrators were tired and in desperate need of a break. So we were among the last to try it out. GB had waited over a month, and it took mere seconds, but he was pleased with the activity.
