Did you see the lunar eclipse?
It was BEAUTIFUL!
We went out to eat and I had set my cell phone alarm to remind me to look for the eclipse at 5:44. We had nice Spring-like weather, so we were all standing outside waiting for our table and trying to see the eclipse. I was disappointed that I couldn’t actually see the moon (the horizon wasn’t quite right where we were)…. until I was in the car 45 minutes later. OH! It was stunning! Of course, you can’t whip out your camera when you are zipping down the highway, doing 67 mph, so I just kept glancing. It was directly in front of me. I got to look at that natural wonder all the way to the grocery store.
I did get some pretty pics of the result of the eclipse while we were waiting for dinner. The sky and clouds were such a gorgeous purple and pink color. Sights like these just prove to me that God is an artistic genious!
this is a viewing graph I found

This picture is exactly what I saw while driving in the car. I was in the Umbra stage of viewing.

So where was my family during this awe inspiring moment?
They all went to see “Ghost Rider.” That’s why we were in a rush to get through dinner. But I wanted to get my grocery shopping done. So, I opted out of the movie. Everybody loved the movie (especially Godzilla Boy), except Aquagirl, who declared it to be way too cheesy. DH and I believe that she is turning into a movie snob. She doesn’t even get into TV anymore. I guess that’s a good thing. Me, personally, I enjoy all forms of media entertainment. I LOVE going to the movies, watching my fav TV shows, and surfing the web. Technology is great!
And I was SO excited by my lunar eclipse viewing experience!

My 7 year old spotted it on our wat home from grocery shoping. It was very cool!

We too went to see Ghost rider last night, grocery shopping, out to eat AND viewed the eclipse out the window of the van. You know what they say about “great minds”! We didn’t get alot of the reddish/purplish sky though. By the time we even saw that it was going on there was a sliver of moon shining. DH pulled over so I could get a picture of it. It was reddish and very neat to watch get bigger as we headed to town. Ghost Rider was a big hit here as well.
