Happy Halloween! We had a blast last night with our neighbors! We were easily the largest group of trick or treaters and it made it a lot of fun. The kids ran crazily from house to house and then hopped into the truck to be transported to the next cul-de-sac. Moms and Dads mosied along at their own pace (munching a bit on treats that were dumped in their pockets when pumpkins got too heavy). GB was a little dismayed at how many of the girls thought he looked like a hunter and was a bit grumpy about that, but we set them straight. This year he dressed up as a “ASPCA, Animal Control, Soldier” and wielded a machine “tranquilizer” gun… LOL The reflective tape that I used to make the graphics on the back of his costume worked so well, that I could see him even when he was 50 feet away. The boots with the light-up heels helped to identify him also. He wasn’t greedy at all at people’s houses, taking only ONE treat, when more were offered. And I am glad, because we got hardly any takers at our house. And as usual, I over-bought. Here are my pics for the night.

Yesterday was also Daddy’s birthday, and we celebrated in Daddy style!! The freedom of homeschooling made it even more fun, since there were no crowds anywhere that we went. Daddy slept late (typical), so we were able to finish our schoolwork. Then we went off to Daddy’s favorite place to eat, Friendly’s, so he could get his fish-a-ma-jig and peanut butter cup sundae

Then we went of to Oasis Park to play a little putt-putt. I got a little worried there, because Daddy was off his game by a long shot and I almost beat him……. whew! that would not have been good on his own birthday. He ended up beating me by 3 points. Usually I get creamed. I have to say, this was a VERY hard course.

I would like my friends in Florida to notice the spectacular color of our leaves. I don’t get the constant warmth of the Florida sun…….. but you are missing this…… feel free to come and partake of our Fall weather anytime

Here is a cute picture of Daddy and GB fishing out one of my golfball casualties. If we got near a water hole……… my ball went in it. I don’t know what my predilection towards that is, but they had a good time “fishing” for the ball… LOL

After putt-putting, we went over to the driving range and “whacked” some balls. I acted as spectator, since I am so athletically challenged. Once again, Daddy and GB were both off their game, but had improved a lot by the end of the bucket. I think when Daddy gets “old” he will make a great golfer…. LOL

And now, flashback to 10 years ago……… the time is pre-GB, and we have two little trick-or-treaters. I didn’t want to leave them out of the post, but with High School, clubs, and being too old for trick-or treating, Jabem was kind of out of the picture. And with Aquagirl off at college doing her own thing, we didn’t get much interaction with her either. We did get a very timely phone call from her at present opening time…. LOL
